Maureen Korthals is a Board-Certified Music Therapist at Toneworks. She holds a BA in Theater and Communication from The College of Saint Benedict (2005), a BS in Music Therapy from Augsburg University (2012), and has an extensive background in dance choreography, performance and teaching. Since obtaining her music therapy degree, Maureen has been passionate about incorporating movement and the arts into her group and individual sessions, and encouraging self-expression through this process. She has dedicated her career thus far to working with individuals and groups of all ages with varying developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
One of many things Maureen loves about music therapy, is the amazing clients she has met, and the vast amount she has learned from them. When not working, you can find Maureen spending as much time outdoors as possible with her husband, 2 kids and dog.
