Alexa Rosenbaum is a Board Certified Music Therapist who has been with Toneworks since 2015. She received her BA in Music Therapy from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and recently earned her MA in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Alexa has over 10 years of experience leading music therapy groups in schools and working with individual clients with autism spectrum sisorder, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech disorders, and sensory processing disorders. In her time with Toneworks, Alexa has also collaborated with the Autism Society of Minnesota and the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota in providing summer camps and music therapy programs.
Alexa is passionate about creating opportunities for clients and their families to feel a sense of belonging and confidence through music making and exploration. Her favorite thing about music therapy is celebrating small moments of growth in her clients and experiencing their smiles and laughter. When she is not working, Alexa enjoys solo traveling, musical theater, listening to podcasts, going to art museums and participating in book clubs.
