What is your background?
I was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the United States when I was 12 years old. I grew up in Mankato Minnesota, where I later attended Mankato State University. I studied psychology for two years, which helped spark my interest in understanding people and supporting others.
What is your role at TLC?
I work as a PSA, where I support individuals with their daily routines and activities. My role involves helping create a safe, supportive, and positive environment while encouraging independence and participation throughout the day.
Why do you like working at TLC?
I like working at TLC because it is such a fun, happy, and positive environment. Everyone already feels like family, and there’s not a day that I’m not happy or laughing while I’m here. The clients are amazing! and it truly feels like the healthiest work environment I’ve ever worked in. On top of that we have the most amazing manager! Everyone here is so understanding and supportive, which makes coming to work something I genuinely look forward to.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy staying active and working out, as well as doing fun activities and spending a lot of time with my friends and family! I also love to paint and spend a lot of time being creative through art. I also work as a part-time model, which allows me to explore another passion outside of my work at TLC.
What is a fun fact about you?
I come from a musical family! Both of my parents are musicians back home, and music has always been a big part of my life. I currently have a strong passion for music and am learning how to play the guitar, which is very exciting!
